Daily Essential Nutrients (DEN) is the world’s most research-backed supplement for mood and mental health. It is proven by independent researchers to stabilize mood swings, improve focus, and reduce anxiety in both children and adults. Over 40 third-party studies, including several double-blind placebo-controlled trials, back DEN for safety and efficacy in the treatment of mood and mental health disorders.
In July 2022, the World Federation of Societies of Biological Psychiatry (WFSBP) and Canadian Network for Mood and Anxiety Treatments (CANMAT) Task Force concluded that the broad spectrum micronutrient formula Daily Essential Nutrients had an evidence grade of ‘A’[1].
This is a prestigious designation assigned by the task force after assessing both the ‘level of evidence’ (LoE) (i.e., meta-analyses or RCTs) and the assessment of the direction of the evidence to determine whether the intervention was ‘Recommended’ (+++), ‘Provisionally Recommended’ (++), ‘Weakly Recommended’ (+), ‘Not Currently Recommended’ (+/−), or ‘Not Recommended’ (−) for a particular condition.
The task force stated, referring to Daily Essential Nutrients, “[That] research on a broad spectrum micronutrient approach shows a clear pharmacodynamic interaction, referred to as ‘potentiation’, such that those who lower their doses of medications alongside taking micronutrients tend to experience relatively fewer side effects and greater clinical benefit (Popper et al. 2017).”
In conclusion, this WFSBP Taskforce provides a range of recommendations for the evidence-based application of nutraceuticals in the field of psychiatry, which should now be adopted and integrated globally into psychiatric treatment protocols.
Amongst all the independent university studies, publications, textbooks, and accolades Daily Essential Nutrients has received, this is another indication that DEN should be considered a first-line treatment for mood and mental health disorders for both children and adults.
