David Hardy passed away November 13, 2016  at the age of 66.

David was vital, in good health and fully engaged in his work prior to his passing.

Only a week previous, he attended the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine Annual Conference where he shared his vast knowledge and research with many healthcare professionals.

Doctor Scott Shannon, a respected associate and a speaker at the same conference, recently said the following of David's contributions to integrative psychiatry: "I just really want to thank David Hardy for his work in this field. Over the last 20 years, his products have revolutionized mental health care and I think represent the single biggest change in the advancement of the treatment of mood disorders since the introduction of Lithium in the early 1950s."

David will be sorely missed.

David had anticipated very clearly for many years that his work would outlive him. As a result, he ensured that Hardy Nutritionals® is well prepared to carry on his legacy. We are committed to advancing his vision of legitimizing micronutrient therapy through research, and to establish broad-spectrum nutrition as the preferred choice of treatment in mental health care.

But David's dreams were even more expansive. Eventually, he hoped to realize a day when deficiency or insufficiency of essential micronutrients is completely eliminated as a contributing cause to chronic illness of any kind.

Those who were closest to David know that he was much more than the founder of Hardy Nutritionals®; he was a venerable father, grandfather, teacher, colleague, and friend. His obituary gives a broader view of his personal and family life.
