We're very excited to announce that Daily Essential Nutrients is now available in vegetarian capsules! As some of you might already be aware, in the last few months, as we've been working though some issues with less than ideal capsules with our manufacturer. (A limited number of customers we're reporting that some of the capsules were brittle, broken, or that there was a small residue of loose powder outside of the capsules which settled at the bottom of their bottles, causing the product to smell stronger than usual.) We sincerely appreciate your patience with us through this. We're confident that the vegetarian capsules will help solve these issues and we are fully committed to addressing future issues that may arise to ensure that our customers have access to the highest quality products. Even though veggie caps are significantly more expensive than gelatin caps, we've opted to keep the price of each bottle of Daily Essential Nutrients to you the same at it was previously. This one's on us.Many of the product enhancements we've made over the years are derived from feedback from doctors and other customers. We want to especially thank Dr. Michael B. Schachter, M.D., from the Schachter Center for Complementary Medicine (New York), who regularly prescribes Daily Essential Nutrients to his patients, for giving us his invaluable feedback regarding veggie caps. What's the difference between Veggie and Gelatin capsules?Gelatin is the original material scientists used to make capsules and has been used for many years. It is still the most common material used by the industry. However, individuals with certain religious or dietary restrictions prefer not to ingest these types of capsules, as gelatin is derived from animal collagen. The most obvious advantage of vegetarian capsules is that they are the first choice for the growing number of both vegetarian and vegan customers. Veggie caps are also more acceptable for religious reasons as they can be classified as both 'Kosher' and 'Halal'. They also have no known potential short or long term health risks because they are 100% natural and nontoxic. For more information on the differences between veggie and gelatin capsules visit: CapsuleDepot.com.
